I truly enjoyed her work and the knowledge of her not being with the company anymore sent me on a goose chase of trying to locate her. So glad I found her online. She was wonderful at Modern and always did such a great job. She was very professional when greeting us in the morning and always took the time to ensure we were comfortable before we left our dog in her care. She is a top notch stylist. The hair cut was so-so and then this time they got soap in his eye causing a chemical burn. Mistakes happen and they paid for the vet bill, which was appreciated.

The people there are nice and the only reason I give 4 stars. Honestly, I am not sure we will return. read less

I get the deluxe with the furminator and my dog, Oso, smells and looks so handsome when I pick him up! They bathe him, clean his ears, trim his nails, trim his excess paw hair, and the furminating is amazing for taking that excess fluff off of him. She has been cut and mistreated by past groomers. We have been to Heather twice and we love her. My baby is very happy and such a sweet girl. When I come to pick her up and she looks great and she seems to be just as bouncy & happy. Heather is a God sent! We truly trust and thank Heather for being in this field and truly loving dogs. Observed a busy pet grooming business producing quality results

Found glowing reviews on Yelp & Angie's List which made us feel comfortable with our decision to schedule our 9 month old 65 pound pup for grooming.

Made the appointment over the phone and a few days later took our dog in for the the first wash & cut at Modern Pet. Confusion at check-in, receptionist asked if we wanted our usual cut? Only then did she get the assigned groomer for our first visit.

Sadly, at pickup there was no exchange with the staff or groomer relative to our expectations being met which seemed odd as we were a NEW CUSTOMER?

I found this groomer via a Groupon deal a while ago. Despite the fact that I live near uptown Charlotte and have many closer options, I continue to drive out here. While I have tried some other local groomers and they have been good, they can't compare to Modern. My dog always looks amazing- unbelievably soft. Their prices are some of the best you'll find, too. They're very accommodating and customer service oriented. The groomers and staff are lovely. My dog is extremely anxious and hates being anywhere without me (I adopted him when he was older). He is comfortable here around these groomers and they really go the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable. Even in the time he is waiting for me post-groom, they have a nice, relaxing environment as opposed to the stacks of crates at some larger groomers. So, I will gladly continue to make the 30 minute drive out to Weddington because, quite simply, they are worth it - best value for the price you pay. read less

Welcoming and answered all of my questions. When I came back to pick up my puppy the nicest groomer (I think bre) came out and spoke to me about what was done and care needed for future. My puppy looked fantastic! He was so fluffy and clean. I would highly recommend this salon. You will not be disappointed!! read less

I dropped off my 5 year old Golden Retriever Finley to be groomed and trimmed up for the warmer weather. One previous groomer left a lot to be desired both in the haircut itself and their treatment of Finley (they put him in a crate when specifically asked not to). This time I brought a picture along and handed over Finley and the picture to the friendly ladies at the front desk. A few hours later I went to pick him up and nervously waited for him to be brought to the front. When they retrieved him he seemed full of energy and happy, not trembling and scarred like the previous place! He was fluffy, smelled good and they did the best job of blending the longer scissor-cut fur with the shorter clipper-cut fur, which isn't easy. I had my 9mo. old son with me and the lady told me next time I could call ahead and they'd walk Finley and belongings to my car for me! Happy (handsome) doggy, happy parents. We will definitely be back. read less

My stylist greeted me, everyone loved on my fur baby, and stylist kept me up to date on the progress by phone. Entire staff was friendly, energetic, and my pup was happy and not jumping to get out the door when we left. It was easy to book an appointment online (i love booking anything online), and I was able to get an appointment fairly quick. The groomer came out and met me before starting and went over all the the options. The groomers we used in L.A. always had my dog for several hours, which I didn't like. Grooming is stressful for a lot of dogs-having to wait hours in a crate or cage before being groomed has got to be frightening and boring. MP only had my dood for the amount of time she was groomed-just about two hours. My dog was definitely not as stressed when I picked her up-and she looked great! This is our groomer from now on! read less
