My bichon-poodle Roxie is super shy and nervous, I really wasn't looking forward to the process. After reading endlessly through reviews I decided to take my girls to Modern Pet Salon, and I'm so glad I did. First, I was amazed at how soon they were able to take them, I called on Friday and made them an appointment for Saturday. Second, I could tell that the woman who greeted us really loved animals. She knew exactly what I was talking about when describing how I wanted then to be groomed. I felt completely at ease when I left. Third, when I picked them up they didn't even run to me. They ran around the reception area saying hello to everyone else picking up their pups. I think they just wanted to show off their new do's ;-). My girls will definitely be back! read less

She needed to be groomed and we decided to try out a local groomer. We found Modern Pet Salon through Yelp saw the great reviews but were still skeptical. We called ahead of time and had a very comforting conversation. They listened to what we wanted and did not want and explained the whole process from start to finish. From the conversation, I could tell these people knew their business. We were greeted a their friendly staff your provided assurances our dog was in good hands. We explained how we wanted our Wheaten Terrier cut and showed them pictures. They called to let us know how she was doing and again when she was finished. It was honestly the BEST cut she has ever received. They executed on all aspects and she was happy as can be to see us. They provided a very thorough service for a reasonable price. We HIGHLY recommend Modern Pet Salon to any one with pet grooming needs and you can be assured we are going back next time. read less

I found this groomer via a Groupon deal a while ago. Despite the fact that I live near uptown Charlotte and have many closer options, I continue to drive out here. While I have tried some other local groomers and they have been good, they can't compare to Modern. My dog always looks amazing- unbelievably soft. Their prices are some of the best you'll find, too. They're very accommodating and customer service oriented. The groomers and staff are lovely. My dog is extremely anxious and hates being anywhere without me (I adopted him when he was older). He is comfortable here around these groomers and they really go the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable. Even in the time he is waiting for me post-groom, they have a nice, relaxing environment as opposed to the stacks of crates at some larger groomers. So, I will gladly continue to make the 30 minute drive out to Weddington because, quite simply, they are worth it - best value for the price you pay. read less

They treat our dog with a level of care and compassion that makes us feel at peace and confident with leaving him in their care. We have used both locations based on convenience. I get the deluxe with the furminator and my dog, Oso, smells and looks so handsome when I pick him up! They bathe him, clean his ears, trim his nails, trim his excess paw hair, and the furminating is amazing for taking that excess fluff off of him. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it read less

I have a golden doodle and due to the move and getting acclimated to the area and school, it's been awhile since Zoey has been groomed. I was told she would have to be cut low due to matting around her neck and her feet. She's had short cuts before & ive always hated how she looked afterwards.

I was a little apprehensive about her being cut so low, but knew that's what had to be done. She was SO CUTE! They did an AMAZING job and she didn't look ugly LOL. I'll definitely be returning. read less

Their groomers are skilled, and are always happy to see my big dog. We've brought my buddy here a few times for full grooming sessions, as well as nail clips, and every time he is handled with care and comes back looking amazing. Also, he's never come back upset, or with any bruises, cuts, or scabs, like he experienced from a local mobile groomer. We learned our lesson and won't compromise on quality just for the convenience of such a service. We're Modern Pet Salon customers for life. read less
