She needed to be groomed and we decided to try out a local groomer. We found Modern Pet Salon through Yelp saw the great reviews but were still skeptical. We called ahead of time and had a very comforting conversation. They listened to what we wanted and did not want and explained the whole process from start to finish. From the conversation, I could tell these people knew their business. We were greeted a their friendly staff your provided assurances our dog was in good hands. We explained how we wanted our Wheaten Terrier cut and showed them pictures. They called to let us know how she was doing and again when she was finished. It was honestly the BEST cut she has ever received. They executed on all aspects and she was happy as can be to see us. They provided a very thorough service for a reasonable price. We HIGHLY recommend Modern Pet Salon to any one with pet grooming needs and you can be assured we are going back next time. read less

The hair cut was so-so and then this time they got soap in his eye causing a chemical burn. Mistakes happen and they paid for the vet bill, which was appreciated.

The people there are nice and the only reason I give 4 stars. Honestly, I am not sure we will return. read less

My bichon-poodle Roxie is super shy and nervous, I really wasn't looking forward to the process. After reading endlessly through reviews I decided to take my girls to Modern Pet Salon, and I'm so glad I did. First, I was amazed at how soon they were able to take them, I called on Friday and made them an appointment for Saturday. Second, I could tell that the woman who greeted us really loved animals. She knew exactly what I was talking about when describing how I wanted then to be groomed. I felt completely at ease when I left. Third, when I picked them up they didn't even run to me. They ran around the reception area saying hello to everyone else picking up their pups. I think they just wanted to show off their new do's ;-). My girls will definitely be back! read less

After a long road trip my baby needed grooming badly, and they fit me in same-day. I was especially surprised that they were able to take her when I got there, as at least 5 other dogs were dropped off in the 5 minutes I was there! They must have a very loyal clientele. I was impressed by how clean it is here, and was hit by a pleasant shampoo smell as soon as I walked in. The woman at the desk discussed with me the style I wanted and even called before she started cutting to be sure I got what I wanted!! Now that's great customer service. read less

I dropped off my 5 year old Golden Retriever Finley to be groomed and trimmed up for the warmer weather. One previous groomer left a lot to be desired both in the haircut itself and their treatment of Finley (they put him in a crate when specifically asked not to). This time I brought a picture along and handed over Finley and the picture to the friendly ladies at the front desk. A few hours later I went to pick him up and nervously waited for him to be brought to the front. When they retrieved him he seemed full of energy and happy, not trembling and scarred like the previous place! He was fluffy, smelled good and they did the best job of blending the longer scissor-cut fur with the shorter clipper-cut fur, which isn't easy. I had my 9mo. old son with me and the lady told me next time I could call ahead and they'd walk Finley and belongings to my car for me! Happy (handsome) doggy, happy parents. We will definitely be back. read less

In researching available groomers we found Modern Pets, read the highly rated reviews and decided to try them.We were thrilled to find that the people taking care of the dogs were cheerful, skilled and made our nervous German Shepherd feel good about her grooming.I was very impressed with the services! I've seen several different people and always been satisfied. The manager is fantastic and always making sure her customers are 100% satisfied. You also can't beat their prices & all the great add-on's they offer. My favorite, Mac always gets bows in her hair when she leaves and they are always so cute! read less

It was easy to book an appointment online (i love booking anything online), and I was able to get an appointment fairly quick. The groomer came out and met me before starting and went over all the the options. The groomers we used in L.A. always had my dog for several hours, which I didn't like. Grooming is stressful for a lot of dogs-having to wait hours in a crate or cage before being groomed has got to be frightening and boring. MP only had my dood for the amount of time she was groomed-just about two hours. My dog was definitely not as stressed when I picked her up-and she looked great! This is our groomer from now on! read less

Observed a busy pet grooming business producing quality results

Found glowing reviews on Yelp & Angie's List which made us feel comfortable with our decision to schedule our 9 month old 65 pound pup for grooming.

Made the appointment over the phone and a few days later took our dog in for the the first wash & cut at Modern Pet. Confusion at check-in, receptionist asked if we wanted our usual cut? Only then did she get the assigned groomer for our first visit.

Sadly, at pickup there was no exchange with the staff or groomer relative to our expectations being met which seemed odd as we were a NEW CUSTOMER?

Note - Becca DID A GREAT JOB grooming our pup and his tail which we leave long, never looked better! read less

They finished grooming my dog much sooner than anticipated which was wonderful. The groom was fantastic!
