  • Experience the day to day operations of a popular grooming salon

 1 –  Health & Safety: Instructs you on how to safely handle and restrain pets in order to achieve a pleasant and safe grooming experience. 

 2 –  Certification Pet CPR and First Aid Certification 

 3 –  Bathing, Brushing & Drying: Teaches you how to bathe, brush and dry dogs professionally based on their coat type and individual needs.  

 4 –  Groomer’s Tools: Introduce and illustrates all of the different pet grooming tools and their specific uses. 

 5 –  Clipper Use and Scissor Control Techniques: Includes step-by-step instructions on how to use and control clippers and shears while grooming.  

 6 –  Prep Work: Guides you through the preliminary steps in the pet grooming process, starting with paw pads, nail clipping, sanitary trim and ear cleaning/plucking  

 7 –  Breed Cuts/Mixed Breed Cuts Assist you with step-by-step instructions on how to groom based on a dog’s coat quality and condition. 

 8 – Completion of Course Six-Week Program-35 hours per week (Minimum 175 hours)

 Tuition: This grooming school tuition covers ALL materials required to complete your Professional Pet Grooming course as well as the 1 on 1 hands on training portion of the program. You will be instructed by Master Groomer’s with over 20 years’ experience.

Important Safety Update Regarding Dog Flu

At Modern Pet Salon, the health and safety of your beloved pets are our top priority. In light of the recent outbreak of dog flu, we’ve implemented stringent safety measures to ensure your pets well-being during their visit:

Isolated Kennels

To prevent any potential spread, all kennels are now isolated from one another.

No Shared Water Bowls

Each pet will have its own water bowl to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination..

Enhanced Cleaning Protocol

We're conducting hourly cleanings of all surfaces with veterinarian-grade cleaners to maintain the highest level of hygiene.

Vigilant Monitoring on Entry

Our team is carefully monitoring every pet at the time of entry. Please note, we reserve the right to kindly refuse service to any pet that shows signs of illness, to protect all our furry clients.

Express Appointments for Vulnerable Pets

Pets with autoimmune issues are encouraged to book express appointments for their safety and convenience.

Spacious Grooming Areas

We've arranged all kennels and grooming tables to maintain at least a 5-foot distance from each other, ensuring ample space between pets.

Optimized Air Quality

Our facility is equipped with two commercial-size ventilation systems, and we're conducting weekly filter changes to ensure the best air quality.
